Acoustic Office Pods in Melbourne’s CBD – 440 Collins Street
At 440 Collins Street, in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, Silent Pods give a busy open-plan office somewhere quiet to meet, call and focus, without any building work.
The Challenge
Open-plan offices are great for energy and collaboration, but they make it hard to find a private spot for a confidential conversation, a video call or an hour of focused work.
The Solution
We installed Silent Pods on the office floor, including a Collab Pod and a Connect Pod. The Collab Pod gives small teams a private room within the room for catch-ups and meetings, while the Connect Pod gives one person a full workstation with an electric sit-stand desk.
Why It Works
Each pod is built with 51mm multi-layer acoustic walls and laminated acoustic glass, so conversations stay inside and office noise stays out. Built-in ventilation, LED lighting, power and USB connectivity mean they’re ready to use as soon as they’re installed. Because they plug into a standard power point and sit on castors, they can move as the office changes.
